FIELD: processes for making laminate envelopes of reinforced polymeric materials, possibly manufacture of compensation type vibration- and electrically insulating couplings for pipelines. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of successively placing on mandrel or onto joined parts alternating layers of bands of (continuous in range of one pair of adjacent successively placed layers) lengthwise and crosswise fibrous reinforcing fillers; fixing layer of lengthwise filler after placing it by means of layer of crosswise filler and by bending lengthwise filler on end portion of molded part of envelope in opposite direction; fastening lengthwise filler in said position by means of next layer of crosswise filler and curing material of envelope; placing one layer of crosswise filler on discrete portions arranged in terminal zones of molded part of envelope and in annular recesses on outer surfaces of mandrel or joined parts; making said recesses before or during process of placing discrete layers of lengthwise filler; pressing the last to bottoms and to lateral walls of recesses at forming on inner surface of envelope reciprocal annular thickened portions.
