FIELD: repairs of worn or damaged heat-insulating lining or furnace refractory wall made from molten refractory. SUBSTANCE: method includes installation of forms on section of surface of reconditioned refractory. Forms length is determined from expression L=1100-2H, where L is forms length, and H is average depth of lining worn section. Height of forms is selected from 60 to 150 mm, and layer of singly introduced into melt refractory crumb is not in excess of 10 mm. Working current of plasma are used for melting is within 350-400A, and voltage of 100- 170 V. Method is realized by layer build-up of repair mass on worn sections. Use of plasma flow results in rapid surface melting of refractory and facilitates formation of cohesive refractory molten mass strongly adhered with base of repaired article through surface melt. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method. 2 dwg, 1 ex
