FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: plasma device for obtaining refractory silicate melt can be applied in production of mineral fibre, for instance, glass wool. Device contains plasmatron, at the bottom of which fusion furnace of round profile is placed. Water-cooling canal is made in the body of fusion furnace. Drain tray for liquid output is fastened in upper side part of fusion furnace. Graphite anode is inbuilt on the bottom of fusion furnace. Device for supply of powder-like raw material is fastened on the opposite to drain tray side surface of fusion furnace body. Device for supply of powder-form raw material is made in form of screw feeder. Screw feeder is directly connected with zone of fusion furnace fusion, as well as with loading bunker and electric drive. Technical result consists in reduction of melt viscosity and ensuring its uniform heating throughout fusion furnace volume.
EFFECT: increased quality of melt for mineral fibre production.
