PIPELINE SADDLE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering; applicable in construction and operation of pipelines. SUBSTANCE: pipeline saddle has rack, pulleys and rope rounding them and connected with weights for producing force acting on pipeline. Saddle is provided with hollow base secured in ground. Said base has longitudinal recesses on opposite sides. Rack supports pipeline and located in base cavity for longitudinal reciprocation. Brackets carrying movable pulleys are located in base recesses. Brackets carrying fixed pulleys are secured to base above longitudinal recesses. Weights are connected with ropes each of which successively rounds respective fixed and movable pulleys. Ends of ropes are attached to base above longitudinal recesses. With vertical displacement of pipeline or ground of saddle base, weights together with ropes and pulleys provide for force acting on pipeline constant for entire range of displacements of pipeline or ground.
