Abstract RU 2212353 C2

FIELD: protection of underwater surfaces of ships afloat and polishing of propellers. SUBSTANCE: proposed disk-type tool has body with handles secured on it. Its hydraulic drive which is arranged inside body is connected with hydraulic drive and is provided with switching-on unit. Body is made in form of hollow disk whose one end face is provided with axle secured on it and at least one circular groove, thus forming circular cavity which is open on side of end face. Other end face of hollow disk is made in form of ring closing its cavity. Hydraulic drive is made in form of free-jet turbine having shape of disk with blades mounted on one end face on side of external diameter; outlet flange projecting from body is mounted on other end face in its central portion. Secured on said flange by means of mandrel is abrasive disk. Body is provided with at least three handles for holding the tool: one handle is mushroom-shaped and two other handles are cylindrical in shape. Switching-on unit is located in one of cylindrical handles; it is made in form of swinging pipe line with locking device; nozzle for supply of working medium is located on one side of this device which adjoins blades; inlet pipe union for connecting the flexible hose is located on other side. Axis of swinging of pipe line is so positioned that jet of working medium escaping from nozzle might be directed to circular cavity inside body formed by partition mounted at clearance for escape of working medium.
