FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cast iron with spherical graphite used in friction units. Antifriction cast iron has the following composite, wt. -%: carbon, 2.89-3.80; silicon, 2.23-3.15; manganese, 0.26-0.73; copper, 0.69-2.64; aluminum, 0.02-0.18; chrome, 0.01- 0.08; magnesium, 0.02-0.05; calcium, 0.006-0.02; rare-earth metals, 0.01-0.06; tin, 0.04-0.10; barium, 0.06-0.17; iron, the balance. Invention allows the enhancement of perlite structure, cast iron hardness and provides the possibility using cast iron in cast members with cross-section from 10 to 80 mm.
