FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to spheroidal-graphite cast iron used in heavy-loaded friction units. Bearing cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 3.24-3.88; silicon 2.98-4.01; manganese 0.30-0.44; molybdenum 0.27-0.42; copper 0,63-1,02; titanium 0.02-0.08, barium 0.03-0.08; magnesium 0.017-0.050; calcium 0.01-0.03; rare-earth metals 0.01-0.06; the rest is iron.
EFFECT: production of the cast iron with high mechanical characteristics and at the same time with low hardness and preserving high wearing capacity, low friction coefficient and insignificant wear of mating parts.
