FIELD: land reclamation. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for cutting slots in peat deposits and it can be used at land reclamation for fissure draining of peat-and-boggy soils with wood inclusions and for localizing peat fires by cutting slots in peat deposits to mineral ground. Proposed peat slotter contains base tractor, tool with active working member and working member position control hydraulic cylinder, slave hydraulic cylinder and adjustable restrictor and check valve installed in parallel. Piston space of control hydraulic cylinder is hydraulic coupled with pistons space of slave hydraulic cylinder through adjustable restrictor and check valve. Rod of slave hydraulic cylinder is connected by flexible member with control levers of mechanisms disconnecting propulsion units from transmission of base tractor.
