METHOD FOR FIRE FIGHTING ON PEAT BOG Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2190441 C1

FIELD: fire-fighting facilities. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying trench at peat laying depth; filling trench with incombustible material. Method is performed by means of unit having working tool made in the form of disk cutter with housing-guide positioned for covering disk cutter top part. Water sprayer is built into housing-guide wall. During advancement of unit, disk cutter digs up peat from peat layer, grinds it and throws onto housing wall, which directs resultant crumb back into trench. Simultaneously water is supplied from reservoir mounted on unit by pump into spraying device to provide wetting of peat particles flying under housing. Trench filled with wetted peat crumb effectively prevents fire from spreading. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 1 dwg
