WELLHEAD SEALING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: equipment applicable in servicing of oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: device has ram-type blowout preventer with preventer upper flange on body, sealing insert and unit fixing the sealing insert. The latter has rising branch pipe for well equipment suspension. Preventer upper flange has internal conical seat for installation and locking of sealing insert. Unit for fixing the sealing insert is made in form of faceplate with internal conical seat and side screw stops. Faceplate is rigidly installed on preventer upper flange so that conical surface of faceplate seat becomes extension of conical surface of seat of preventer upper flange to form common conical surface with common generating line. Screw stops are made for engagement with shaped groove made on sealing insert. EFFECT: minimized vertical sizes of mechanism fixing the sealing inserts. 3 cl, 3 dwg
