GEAR SEALING WELL-HEAD Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: underground repair operations of oil and gas wells. SUBSTANCE: proposed gear is intended for underground repair operations of oil and gas wells, for sealing of well-head when emergency occurs in well and during long interruption of repairs. Gear has cylindrical body. Body has flange and through duct to pass pipes with technological equipment. Sealing insert includes conical bearing groove, sealing member and fixing rod. Sealing member is placed eccentrically relative to axis of pipes. This member has longitudinal groove for placement and sealing of electric cable. Fixing rod is manufactured in the form of mobile cylinder. Its support in part has shape of surface that matches shape of surface of conical bearing groove in fixed position. Sealing member has additional slot to place it on sealing insert. Longitudinal groove accommodating electric cable is stopped with plug. Lower part of plug repeats shape of groove. Upper part of plug carries bearing shoulders located in conical bearing groove of sealing insert flush with its outlines. EFFECT: provision for sealing of well-head during sinking and lifting of pipe arrangements both with electric cable and without it. 10 dwg
