WELLHEAD SEALING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for underground remedial work of oil and gas wells, remedial work for wellheadsealing in emergency situations on wells and also in prolonged interruption of well operation. SUBSTANCE: wewllhead seal has cylindrical body with flanges and channel for passing pipes and conical seat for installation of sealing insert. Sealing device has a frame installed on body upper flange and movable slips for pipe catching mounted on said frame and leverage of slips drive. Movable slips during pipe lowering and lifting enter conical seat and are engageable with it. Sealing insert freely passes through slips and located in conical seat with slips fully moved apart. Wellhead sealing device provides for installation of sealing insert into conical seat through opening of moved apart slips and without removal of spider from sealing device upper flangde. EFFECT: higher efficiency due to improved design. 5 dwg
