SEALING FITTINGS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: oil production equipment, fittings for heads of wells equipped with electric submersible pumps. SUBSTANCE: proposed sealing fittings can be used to seal well-head in case of emergency and during long interruption of underground repair operations. Sealing fittings have body with ducts communicating pipe clearance with intertube clearance. Shutting valves are installed in ducts. Central hole is intended for passage of technological equipment with electric cable. Upper part of body has circular groove and shaped grooves. Chuck plate contacts sealing surface via sealing member. Chuck plate is made fast to coupling for suspension of tubing string. According to another version sealing insert is put leak-tight into sealing surface of body. Insert comes in the form of separable coupling. Coupling is linked to tubing string from beneath and to shutting element that shuts off space of tubing string on top. Sealing insert has rotary bushing with side protrusions which are spring- loaded with fixing arms. Fixing arms are mounted for interaction of rotary bushing with handle of drive by means of shaped groove that lets electric cable through and of stop that limits turn with reference to coupling. EFFECT: provision for sealing of well- head with electric cable if emergency situation occurs during underground repair operation without usage of special sealing fixture or preventers. 3 cl, 12 dwg
