FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to units of machines and sets operating in kerosene, particularly, to antifriction and sliding bearings. Method to decrease friction in "brass-steel" pair comes to preliminary treatment of liquid by passing it through magnetic field in direction perpendicular to field lines force. Kerosene is subjected to treatment by magnetic field of density of 75-120 kJ/cu.m two hours before realization of process of friction. EFFECT: reduced friction and wear of materials.
