FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves inserting an extremity with bandages covering the extremity into flexible sleeve manufactured from low friction coefficient material and high tension and rupture strength to a length equal to at least orthesis length. The extremity enclosed into the sleeve and fitted to the orthesis at site. Enclosure is carried out manually due to orthesis sliding all along the sleeve length being intermediate between the orthesis and the extremity. After having enclosed and fitted the orthesis at site, the sleeve is withdrawn by pulling it out due to orthesis sliding over the extremity coming in contact in the course of removing the sleeve. EFFECT: facilitated orthesis setting. 9 cl, 7 dwg
