FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: elastic compression brace for treating venous insufficiency has an upper part and a rest piece. Upper portion comprises an intermediate portion comprising scars extending the resting portion. Knitted weave on each side of the border separating the leg and the intermediate part is different. Bead is formed by wrapping the orthesis neck defining the hole through which the orthosis is inserted, thus comprising an inner strip for contacting the skin of the lower limb of the patient, and an outer strip, an orthosis facing outward and an inner strip separated from the skin. Said collar continues the intermediate part and has height (h) of less than 1.5 cm. When implementing the method for making the said brace, a single-cylinder knitting machine is used.
EFFECT: inventions provide prevention of coagulation of upper part of orthosis while reducing discomfort, risk of disturbed blood circulation and poor attachment on wearer.
