FIELD: television engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed wide-angle (8-14 mcm) infrared television camera or thermal imager is produced in the form of series-connected mirror-lens optical system 1, 2, 3, spectral infrared/visible range optical-image converter 4, relay lens 5, radiant energy/video signal converter 6, video signal processing unit 7, and also electromechanical drive 8, special computer 9, and control panel 10. Output of mirror-lens system 1, 2, 3 is optically coupled with input of radiant energy/video signal converter 6 through infrared/visible range image converter 4 and relay lens 5; output of converter 6 is connected to input of video signal processing unit 7. Control panel 10 is connected to control input of electromechanical drive 8 through special computer 9; electromechanical drive 8 is mechanically coupled with relay lens 5 and converter 6. Field-of-vision angle of thermal imager is varied by varying effective lengths of relay lens 5 and panning effect is attained by varying angle between optical axis of relay lens 5 and that of mirror-lens system 1, 2, 3. EFFECT: provision for imparting scan properties to unscanned imager and for varying field-of-vision angle and panning. 2 cl, 3 dwg
