FIELD: water treatment by oxidation with use of ozonization. SUBSTANCE: invention can be employed for disinfection, clarification and deodorization of drinkable water in water supply systems of towns and other populated areas, for disinfection of circulating water in swimming pools and for purification of sewage of industrial enterprises. Plant includes contact column with pipe unions for inlet/outlet of working/used gas and with branch pipes for inlet/outlet of water into contact column and out of it correspondingly, pump connected to inlet branch pipe of contact column, compressor to which outlet inlet of unit generating ozone-air mixture is linked. Outlet of unit generating ozone is linked to inlet pipe union located in lower part of contact column partially filled with contact elements. Inlet branch pipe is positioned in upper part of contact column, outlet branch pipe is located in lower part of contact column. Relation of flow rate of water Vw and gas Vg should comply with following proportion Vw:Vg = (0,05-0,5):1.
