FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing transplant having two costal fragments located on the same intercostal vascular fascicle. The costal fragments are positioned in the defect area in a way that one of them repairs alveolar edge and the other one the body of the mandible. Superior edges of the costal fragments are aligned. The transplant is connected to mandible stumps. Anastomoses are created between the recipient blood vessels and transplant ones. The transplant is produced in particular cases in the following way. Two subperiosteal osteotomies are carried out and the middle rib fragment is removed that is equal to its double height in length with two costal fragments being created on the same vascular fascicle. Costal transplant having two fragments of a rib bound to the same vascular fascicle is produced in particular cases by making osteotomy for separating a rib into two fragments mobilizing the feeding vascular fascicle on the area enough for preventing its tension or inflection from taking place.
