METHOD OF FORMING VASCULARISED BONE AUTOTRANSPLANT FROM LATERAL EDGE OF SCAPULA FOR REPLACEMENT OF LOWER JAW DEFECT Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, and is intended for application in formation of vascularised bone autotransplant from lateral edge of scapula for replacement of long defects of lower jaw with further dental prosthetics. Access to donor zone is performed. Bone flap, corresponding to body height and doubled height of alveolar part of modelled section of lower jaw, is formed. Subperiosteal linear osteotomy is carried out at the level of planned apex of alveolar process with formation of flap fragment which is connected with main part via muscular-periosteal pedicle. Formed flap fragment is turned on musculo-periosteal pedicle until it matches main part of bone flap and is rigidly fixed to main part of bone flap. Contacting bone surfaces are preliminarily skeletised subperiosteally. To ensure required thickness of alveolar part between contacting bone fragments free bone autotransplant is additionally installed. Donor zone is sewn. Formed on vascular pedicle and modelled transplant is moved into recipient zone.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to form transplant, which has thickness in zone of restored alveolar part sufficient for carrying out dental prosthetics due to modelling alveolar part of transplant, which contains, at least, two layers of bone tissue.
