FIELD: composites for volume fire extinguishing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol-generating composites used for volume fire extinguishing. The composite contains the following components: potassium nitrate, technical carbon, cellulose or wood powder or their mixture and copolymer of vinyl acetate with ethylene and phenol- -formaldehyde resin as a binding agent. Components are taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: copolymer of vinyl acetate with ethylene, 6-10; phenol-formaldehyde resin, 1-9; cellulose or wood powder or their mixtures, 9-14; technical carbon, 2-10; potassium nitrate, the balance. The composite provides widening temperature range of exploitation, reduction of combustion temperature in retaining fire extinguishing capacity and amount of evolving toxic products.
