FIELD: off-line power supplies. SUBSTANCE: multiphase-output step-up/step- down frequency changer is, essentially, device built up of three-phase-to-single-phase converting cells each one having three input storage reactors 1 3 at input of three-phase bridge circuit built around switches 4 - 9; storage capacitor 10; output storage reactor 11; switch 12 of output storage circuit. Proposed frequency changer makes it possible to produce practically sinusoidal input current which is in phase with input voltage at high-quality sinusoidal or dc output voltage with added advantage of its reversal and ensuring of as high input power factor as unity.
