SUBSTANCE: frequency changer has m groups of switches corresponding to m1 output phases of changer, each incorporating m input switches connected into m-phase star and corresponding to m supply-voltage input phases; m1 storage reactors using star or delta circuit arrangement and connected to neutral points of star-connected input switches; m1 output switches connected through some leads to same neutral points and through other leads, to m1 star- or delta-connected storage capacitors. Output voltage of frequency changer is picked off storage capacitors. Output voltage may be higher or lower than input voltage. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 3 cl, 4 dwg
