FIELD: electrothermy; drying, heating, and temperature control of parts and amenity rooms. SUBSTANCE: electric heater depending for its operation on thermal contact, heat transfer by free convection, and also by radiation, for instance in percolators, boilers, toasters, irons, water heater, electric heaters for ranges, and other electric heating appliances has flat metal base covered with insulating film of dielectric compound incorporating organic binders and fine-grain insulating glass that mounts heating element in the form of layout pattern of resistive film coated with protective insulating film; thickness of metal base is 1 to 4 mm, that of insulating film, 100 to 150 mcm, of layout pattern, 25 to 30 mcm, of protective insulating film, 20 to 30 mcm; contact pads of resistive film carry wire lead of nichrome or copper wire secured by means of contact compound; compounds and their ingredients have definite composition. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and heating uniformity, reduced power requirement and manufacturing cost, space-saving wiring in heating appliance, enhanced reliability of terminal leads fixation. 1 cl, 1 dwg
