FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture of barrels of hunter's and military guns with smooth and shaped bore passing on helical line along the whole length of barrel. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming shaped bore with different cross section by hot deforming of tubular blank onto water-cooled mandrel at rotating blank in three-roller deforming unit; performing deformation at temperature 700 - 750 C; rotating blank in direction opposite relative to inclination angle of profile of water-cooled mandrel. Turning angle of deforming rollers consists 0.5 -0.8 of inclination angle of helical profile of barrel bore.
