FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to machine building and may be used for production of arm barrels with shaped bore. Proposed method comprises heating to austenitisation temperature, water subcooling of barrel outer surface, cubic plastic deformation by helical squeezing, postdeformation curing, spray cooling of barrel inner and outer surface and tempering. Note here that cubic plastic deformation is performed in controlled forming of barrel wall while shaping barrel bore is performed in controlled longitudinal displacement of mandrel. Proposed device comprises heating assembly, sprayer for subcooling, cooling assemblies, assemblies of rotation, barrel displacement and deformation assembly made up of three smooth rollers arranged regularly along the circle. Besides, it comprises mechanism to space rollers apart and turn them simultaneously and/or mechanism of controlled lengthwise displacement of mandrel.
EFFECT: higher precision.
