FIELD: gas-flame treatment of metals, possibly in different branches of technology for working small-diameter openings, edges, narrow slits and articles with complex shape of surface. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of supplying high- -temperature gas jet from necessary distance and by desired angle through nozzle of gas burner to treatment zone; induction treatment of material realized in the form of additional local heating of treatment zone by means of high-frequency currents with use of inductor arranged at predetermined distance from treated surface for separating heat inside material at predetermined depth; supplying high-temperature gas jet from nozzle of gas burner in working zone of inductor; realizing local induction heating before gas- flame treatment, after such treatment or during the whole cycle of gas-flame treatment; performing treatment of material with possibility of moving nozzle of gas burner and inductor or with possibility of moving treated material. Method provides possibility for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous metals with thickness 5 mm and more. EFFECT: enhanced ecological safety of process due to lowered degree of atmosphere outbursts of oxidation and evaporation products. 1 dwg
