FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: modifier contains ferrosilicium with barium (1-7%) in the form of fine composition as fraction up to 0.5 mm (screening dust) and additionally contains 1-5% fluor- spar and 1-5% liquid glass. According to second option, modifier contains ferrosilicium-barium composition as above and additionally 1-10% granulated magnesium with 0.5-2.0 mm granule size, 1-5% fluor-spar. and 1-5% liquid glass. According to third option, modifier contains ferrosilicium fraction up to 0.5 mm and additional components as in the second option. Modifiers are shaped as spatial geometric figure. EFFECT: enabled complete dissolution of ferrosilicium at considerably lowered cost price of modifier production thanks to utilization of ferroalloy screening rejects. 9 cl, 3 tbl
