FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed piston machine contains at least two cylinders with pistons moving inside cylinders and rotary cylindrical spools connected with cylinders by bypass channels and arranged in intake and exhaust chambers. Intake chamber is located over one cylinder, and exhaust chamber, over other cylinder, each chamber operates to two cylinders. According to invention proposed piston machine contains minimum two adjacent operating cylinders with working spaces which accommodate pistons each coupled with its crank. Spools coupled with pistons move in intake and exhaust chambers. Intake and exhaust ports are made in operating cylinders over pistons. When the later are in top dead center, said ports are connected by bypass channels with ports of intake and exhaust chambers. Spools are coupled with pistons by means of rods. Chambers are installed over pistons through separating partitions. EFFECT: improved efficienc6y in operation. 8 cl, 15 dwg
