METHOD FOR VESTIBULAR PLASTY OF MOUTH CAVITY Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: one should carry out incision along fixed gingival border and that of transitional fold up to 4-6 teeth. Lateral connective-tissue cords are dissected. Muscular tissues should be bluntly pressed downwards. Then it is necessary to fix a fragment and close wound surface of transitional fold due to applying wound covering. Moreover, one should perform incision from one canine tooth to another one along mucosal membrane of transitional fold towards inferior lip at the distance corresponding to the value of desired vestibular deepening of mouth cavity by taking into account the decrease of mucosal tissues of transitional fold after fragment's separation. Tachocomb collagen plate is applied as wound covering. The present method enables to achieve decreased traumaticity level and decreased number of complications in postoperative period.
