FIELD: application of coats from various powder materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed device is provided with booster chamber between discharge unit and powder injector. Sizes of cylindrical booster chamber makes it possible to accelerate micro-particles of various powder materials in wide range of densities of 1-16 kg/cu dm and their sizes of 1-50 mcm, thus ensuring acceleration of micro-particles to 1 km/s and higher at independent control of their velocity and temperature. Protective diaphragm may be located between shear of bore and substrate coaxially with discharge unit and bore; this diaphragm excludes penetration of bore ablation and electrode erosion products into layer of coat and reduces thermal effect of high-temperature plasma part of flow on coat and substrate.
