FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric pulse treatment of fibrous materials containing natural and artificial fibers. Suspension of the picked fibrous material is prepared in the medium eligible for its chemical composition. Set specific electrical resistance of the liquid medium no more than 2•1011 Ohm / m and bulk density of energy in a pulse of no more than 50 kJ/l. After that the suspension is treated at least between two electrodes, that are dipped into a liquid medium. Then the processed fibers are separated from the liquid medium and byproducts.
