SUBSTANCE: single-mode optical fiber contains central region of core, peripheral region of core formed around central region and displaying refractive index greater than that of central region of core, sheath with refractive index less than that of peripheral region of core placed around peripheral region of core. Chromatic dispersion of fiber in range of wave length 1490-1625 nm is from -8 to +8 ps/(km • nm2), effective area of core is equal to 45-130 μm2, dispersion slope is 0.12 ps/(km • nm) and under.
