FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has ring-shaped body with two rotatable cusps and means for holding the cusps. The means has two cams, mounted on opposite edges of each of the cusps and having spherical bosses on lateral surfaces, and two pairs of spherical recesses diametrically arranged on flat areas of internal body surface allowing spherical bosses to make engagement therewith in turning the cusps between the on and off positions. Two pairs of cusp rotation stoppers are diametrically oppositely mounted on end surface of the device body on the same side with direction blood flow. The cams are in uninterrupted contact with each other; recesses are made on flat areas of internal body surface between each pair of spherical recesses arranged on both sides with respect to cusp joint line. Recesses perimeter is rhomb-shaped, one diagonal is in parallel to the central axis of the device body and the other one passes over the spherical recess centers. Rhomb sides are built by tangentials to intersection lines of spherical recess and flat areas of internal body surface. Recess surfaces are disposed at spherical recess depth and have transition areas of cylindrical shape on rhomb sides, their radii being equal to spherical recess radius.
