FIELD: heat-power engineering; cleaning and utilization of flue gases of thermal power plants. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes cooling flue gases to temperature below dew point forming condensate of water steam used as absorbent of carbon dioxide followed by de-sorption of carbon dioxide from absorbent, cooling absorbent due to de-sorption of carbon dioxide and evaporation of part of absorbent due to rarefaction; then separated carbon dioxide is dried. Device proposed for realization of this method consists of transit gas duct with port in its bottom which is connected with housing provided with heat-exchange, absorption and de-sorption cooling sections, suction hood connected with fan and drier.
