VESSEL AND WATER ENERGY CONVERTER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: shipbuilding; hydrofoil vessels for surface and submerged cruising. SUBSTANCE: vessel has at least one hull with hydrofoils on struts under it and power plant for generation of intermediate energy carrier and many engines with propellers. Hull is hermetic and is connected with reservoir for alternate filling with gaseous and fluid medium. Vessel is provided with at least one tube which is open at the bottom and closed with hermetic cover at the top; this tube is used for placing drilling rig, cargo hoisting mechanism and long-cut articles, for example hoses for delivery of drilling fluid. Wave energy converter has floating body with plate suspended to it; this plate has holes which are closed by at least one valve; energy converter is also provided with water inlet and outlet passages, at least one electric generator connected with turbine mounted in water discharge passage, one guide member for compression and introduction of water flow and at least one nozzle located at the top of narrowing passage or on turbine inlet. Energy converter is provided with at least one guide member consisting of two surface, semi-cylinders for example which form together passage narrowing in way of motion of water flow.
