METHOD TO MANUFACTURE A POLYMERIC COMPOUND Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: chemical industry, production of polymeric compounds to manufacture the braking shoes for the disk brake units of cars. SUBSTANCE: invention presents a method to manufacture a polymeric compound used for production of frictional items, in particular, the braking shoes for the disk brake units of cars. The method to manufacture the polymeric composition provides for mixing in the mixer of nitrile rubber, phenolformaldehyde resin, metallic, fibrous and powder-like fillers. At that the mixing is conducted in two stages. At the first stage using the high-speed mixer with rotation rate of 1000-3000 r/m they mix the nitrile rubber, fibrous, metallic and powder-like fillers, then at the second stage the produced mass is mixed with phenolformaldehyde resin in the mixer of gravitational type with the rate of rotation of 20 r/m up to temperature 55-60 C at the end of blending with following manufacture of the frictional items. EFFECT: the method allows to produce a polymeric compound, using a progressive way of blending of the composition at a minimum emission of heat. 1 tbl
