SUPPORT-AND-ALIGNING RINGS ON PASSAGES OF PIPELINES IN PROTECTIVE HOUSING Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: construction and repair of underground pipelines in protective housing under obstacle. SUBSTANCE: proposed support-and-aligning rings contain prismatic protective elements arranged over generatrices over outer surface of pipeline. Said support-and-aligning rings are secured at designed pitch by clamps on outer surface of pipeline. Each support-and-aligning ring is made of elastic porous material in form of one-or two-layer sheet adjoining the pipeline. Each prismatic protective element is made up of set of tapes made of sheet material with subsequent impregnation with carbamideformaldehyde resin with hardener and decreasing in length and sewn to sheet. It has inclined end face surfaces, and sides of sheet crosswise relative to pipeline are provided with stops for clamps. Support-and-aligning rings feature high mechanical strength, good dielectric properties and long service life. EFFECT: improved reliability of pipeline. 3 cl, 4 dwg
