FIELD: drying units for production of dry powders from fruit and vegetable husks and wastes of alcohol production process; food-processing and combined fodder industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed drying unit has rotor, fixed housing with processing chamber in form of body of revolution and movable members forming working wetted surface; movable members are arranged inside processing chamber and are brought in contact with rotor by means of systems of drives. Rotor is made in form of shell provided with radial pins smoothly distributed over its perimeter; each drive is made in form of spiral- shaped pin located longitudinally along axis of shell; spiral-shaped pin is rigidly connected with respective radial pin by one end; shell adjoins end face of housing and free ends of pins are introduced into processing chamber.
