FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves analyzing patient venous blood sample to detect presence of fibrinogen D dimmer degradation products, soluble fibrin monomer complexes and reaction capacity of blood platelets as hemostatic activation parameters. Measurements are collected during the whole super-acute and acute ischemic insult period. Single increase in D-dimer concentration higher than 1 mcg/ml and/or soluble fibrin monomer complexes concentration higher than 50 mg% in combination with considerable blood platelets reaction capacity reduction to 10-15% when compared to platelets reaction capacity measured in the acutest period being observed, ischemic insult lethal outcome probability value is predicted.
