FIELD: medicine, forensic medicine. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with practice of doctors and forensic experts. After lancing vertebral canal from behind, one should dissect ligaments of atlooccipital articulations with cross-sectional incisions. One should saw occipital bone foundation with the help of sheep saw from the edges of occipital bone cuts towards the edges of jugular opening. Osseous fragment is carefully separated by touching the bone with scalpel's blade, and ganglia are inspected for hemorrhages. The method enables to increase reliability of differential diagnostics in detecting both fresh and old lesions in ganglia to specify pathogenesis of traumatic complications at affected respiratory and cardiovascular systems, to predict sleep apnea syndrome and in some cases to specify direct source of lethality. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg, 4 ex
