FIELD: metallurgy, possibly continuous casting of billets. SUBSTANCE: method for continuous casting of billets in machine with curvilinear technological axis comprises steps of using transformer steel; keeping temperature of transformer steel in intermediate ladle in range 1500 - 1530C; drawing ingot out of mold at rate (w) determined according to expression w = 0.7 - 0.01(t - 1500), where t - temperature of transformer steel in intermediate ladle, 0.7 and 0.01 - empiric coefficients; setting water flowrate in sprayer sections arranged along zone of secondary cooling according to degree of sprinkling surface of billet; cooling surface of each billet in predetermined zones at modes selected according to dependences given in description of invention. It provides possibility for sustaining optimal temperature of billet surface along the whole tract of making it. EFFECT: creation of sufficiently thick and strength skin of solidified metal on billet along the whole tract of making it, prevention of surface cracking of billet and emergency leakage of melt metal out of billet. 4 tbl
