BRAKING DEVICE WITH BOOSTER AND PASSIVE SAFETY ELEMENT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for braking system of vehicles and is aimed at facilitating process of braking. Proposed device consists of brake master cylinder and brake booster with housing, movable partition forming front and rear chambers inside housing and hermetically isolated from each other, three-way valve set into operation by control tie-rod for selectively creating pressure differential in front and rear chambers and, respectively, loading movable partition by force created by booster which acts in direction of brake master cylinder, and pusher connected with movable partition and operating the brake master cylinder. Housing of booster consists of front casing connected with brake master cylinder and forming wall of front chamber, and rear casing forming wall of rear chamber. Front and rear casings, each, are provided with radial bead and are interconnected by clamp engaging with said beads of front and rear casings. Novelty is that clamp consists of at least two parts connected by at least one locking member which, at considerable stresses arising in brake master cylinder at front or tangential collision of car, stops, playing the part of locking member. EFFECT: prevention of transmission of force to brake pedal at front and tangential collision or road accident. 6 cl, 9 dwg
