METHOD FOR MAKING LINING OF HYDRAULIC CYCLONE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: linings or wear resistant coatings protecting housings of hydraulic cyclones against abrasive or cavitation wear. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing onto adhesive-coated inner perforated surface of hydraulic cyclone several layers (calibrated according to strip thickness) of crude rubber mixture; applying adhesive onto said layers and rolling them by means of manual squeezing rollers; forcing applied coating to inner metallic surface of hydraulic cyclone by means of special fitting including punch with compression springs and fastening members; then placing housing of hydraulic cyclone with applied coating and with fitting in electric furnace; heating it until rubber vulcanization temperature and holding it during time period necessary for full polymerization of rubber lining at atmospheric pressure; after termination of lining formation extracting hydraulic cyclone from electric furnace; keeping at 20 C until complete cooling; demounting fitting. EFFECT: possibility for making wear-resistant monolithic one-piece pressed rubber lining with high adhesion to inner surface of metallic housing of hydraulic cyclone. 4 cl
