FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of strong alcoholic drinks. Oak and/or cherry, and/or plum tree wood is milled chips of size 10 x 15 x 1 mm, carbonized to blackening and then soaked in hot water with temperature 60-75 C, hold to self-cooling and then dried at temperature 110-130 C for 24 h under air atmosphere to the air-dried state. An aqueous-spirituous liquid is used as extractant with volume part of 50% ethanol consisting of crude ethyl alcohol and softened water. Treated chips are placed into column for extraction as measured 30-50 g per 1 dm3 of an aqueous-spirituous solution followed by continuous recycling of this solution through layer of chips in consumption (0.1-0.7) x 10-6 m3/s up to index value of total extract 5-9 g/dm3. The prepared base is hold then for 2 weeks without chips for assimilation of taste and aroma. This treatment of chips and preparing an aqueous-alcoholic extract provide the most complete extraction of aromatic and extractive substances from wood raw and accelerated formation of necessary organoleptic properties of the base used for preparing strong alcoholic drinks. The proposed invention provides preparing the base from the more available raw. EFFECT: simplified technological process, expanded assortment of raw used, reduced cost. 2 tbl
