FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel equipment of diesel engines. Proposed method comes to delivery of fuel through fuel feed channel into underneedle space, throttling channel and cylindrical clearance between outer surface of needle and inner surface of nozzle body. Fuel in cylindrical clearance of central part of needle is used for hydraulically locking and cooling of nozzle. Device for implementation proposed method contains hollow housing with fuel feed channel, needle placed in housing coaxially to inner surface, cylindrical clearance between outer surface of needle and inner surface of housing, underneedle space formed by lower part of needle and housing, throttling channel connecting underneedle space with cylindrical clearance and channels for hydraulically locking and cooling of nozzle. Hydraulically locking and cooling channels of nozzle are combined and made by widening cylindrical clearance in central part of needle to volume not less than two minimum cyclic deliveries of fuel. Throttling channel formed by clearance between housing and sealing belt on needle has length not less than half of diameter of needle. EFFECT: increased reliability at low deliveries of fuel and under gas-diesel operating conditions. 3 cl, 1 dwg
