FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: diesel injector comprises a casing with a fuel feed channel, the atomiser casing housing a shut-off needle, a pressure rod linked, on one side, to the shut-off needle and, on the other side, to a shut-off spring, a spacer arranged between the injector and atomiser casings, a shaped nut, a fuel injection-start-pressure adjustment washers and a tight fuel chamber accommodating the said shut-off spring, pressure rod and the fuel injection-start-pressure adjustment washers. The invention novelty consists in using the check valve arranged in the injector casing to communicate the nozzle tight fuel chamber with the fuel feed high-pressure line and to protect the injector from hydraulic shutting off in emergency, the said valve being adjusted to the opening pressure of 4...5 MPa.
EFFECT: ruling out hydraulic shutting off of the no-drainage nozzle, higher reliability, longer life and simple adjustment in operation.
