FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: distillate and lube fractions are obtained by bringing feedstock, optionally in mixture with recycle, into contact with olefin oligomerization catalyst in at least one tubular reactor or with different catalysts in two in-series arranged tubular reactors, or in at least three adiabatic reactors with one or two different catalysts at temperature between 150 and 450 C, pressure 0.1 to 6.0 MPa, and mass velocity 0.2 to 10 h-1. Oligomerization products are separated in more than one alternative ways to isolate fractions <250 C and > 150-250 C. Recycle of fractions <250 C and introducing recycle into intermediate reaction stream between functioning reactors is also possible. Fraction > 150-250 C is subjected to hydrogenation treatment on catalyst revealing activity in hydrocarbon hydrogenation reactions at temperature between 80 and 400 C, pressure 0.5 to 6.0 MPa, and H2/-to-olefin molar ration from 1 to 20.
