FIELD: power engineering; heating liquid running through water heater. SUBSTANCE: device has two U-shaped tubular heat-transfer apparatuses accommodating coaxially arranged electric heating tubes with sealing assemblies and power terminals; heat-transfer apparatuses are installed in parallel, their two closest ends being joined through sealing assembly and two other ends, through other sealing assembly to inlet and outlet pipes. Water level indicator is rigidly fixed in housing of second sealing assembly and hydraulically connected to inlet pipe. Such design allows for manufacturing water heaters of any desired power capacity without changing their size and layout. Power terminals are disposed on external side of housing to provide for connecting heater and checking its power supply without opening device housing. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and facilitated connection and check-up of device. 3 cl, 3 dwg
