FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: flow-through electric heater has one or several heating elements, heating element power control unit, and water flow rate and temperature transducers. Every heating element is made as thermionic diode with heated thermionic cathode. Diode anode is flown around by heated liquid. Cathode operates in mode of temperature limitation of emission current. Water flow rate and temperature transducers are connected to filament control circuit of cathode heater. EFFECT: enhanced heating process. 3 wdgc
